Meet Adrienne Hunter
Marketing strategist. Small business advocate. Former Fortune 100 executive.
I spent more than two decades leading marketing programs at IBM. Today, I bring that experience to small businesses that want practical, strategic marketing guidance built around what they actually need.

If you've ever wished you had a seasoned marketing expert in your corner, someone who could look at your business, cut through the noise, and help you figure out what to do next, that's what Growth Signal Marketing is here to be.
Where I come from
I spent more than two decades at IBM, ultimately serving as a Vice President and leading marketing strategy, programs, and teams. Our customers ranged from small and midsize businesses to some of the world's largest organizations, giving me firsthand experience with how different businesses approach growth and marketing.
That experience taught me something important: good marketing isn't about doing more. It's about knowing what matters, making smart choices, and executing those choices well.
That's the experience I bring to Growth Signal Marketing, adapted for the realities of small business, where time and budgets are limited and every marketing decision needs to count.
Small businesses don't have that luxury of unlimited resources. But that doesn't mean they should have to settle for guesswork.
Why I started Growth Signal Marketing
Small business owners are often exceptional at what they do. They know their customers, their craft, and their business. But marketing is another discipline entirely, and most business owners don’t have the time, budget, or desire to become marketing experts themselves.
Too often, that leaves them piecing together advice from different sources, trying one tactic after another, or spending money without being sure what will actually move their business forward.
I started Growth Signal Marketing to offer a different kind of support: experienced marketing guidance that starts with understanding the business, identifies what matters most, and turns those priorities into practical action. You don’t need to do all the marketing. You need to know what to focus on and have the right support to make it happen.
How I Work
Every engagement starts with listening. Before I recommend anything, I want to understand your business, your goals, your audience, and what’s been getting in the way. That context shapes everything.
From there, we determine the level of support that makes sense for your business. That might mean identifying your most important marketing priorities, building a more comprehensive plan, or helping you put that plan into action.
Whatever the engagement, you’ll know the scope, timeline, deliverables, and investment upfront. No long-term contracts or unnecessary complexity. Just focused work designed to help you move forward.
When implementation calls for specialized expertise such as graphic design, web development, or media buying, I can bring in trusted professionals as needed. You get the right expertise without having to assemble and manage a team yourself.
Who I Work With
Growth Signal Marketing works with solopreneurs and small business owners who know they need better marketing but aren’t always sure what to focus on, what to change, or what to do next. Some are just getting started. Others have been in business for years and are ready for a more strategic approach.
You might be a good fit if:
- ✓You’re great at what you do but struggle to communicate it clearly to the right people
- ✓Your marketing has been inconsistent, reactive, or mostly non-existent
- ✓You’ve tried different marketing tactics but aren’t sure what’s actually working
- ✓You want to make smarter marketing decisions instead of simply doing more
- ✓You value experienced guidance and are ready to invest in getting your marketing right
You don’t need a big budget or a marketing team. You need clarity about what matters most and the right level of support to move forward.
